As I have been playing Anno1777 for quite some time now and I consider myself to be a reasonably experienced player I thought I would put together my top 10 tips for new players to Anno1777. Hopefully they will help out any new players looking to learn how to play and earn money in Anno1777.

10. Take your time don’t rush into anything. Keep this in mind when considering doing anything in Anno1777. It may be a game but everything you can earn you money so think carefully.

9. Don’t worry about being a slave to someone. Everyone is someone’s slave and all it means is they earn a bonus from what you earn. Only worry about how many slaves you have.

8. Always be on the lookout for cheap shares. In Anno1777 owning shares will give you a constant source of income so finding good value shares that payout frequently is one of the smartest ways to earn money.

7. Fight in wars when you can. There are certain things that you must have first to fight a war like 25% wellbeing and an attack and defence weapon. If you have these things and there is a war available you should always fight in it. Earning military rank will not only earn you money but will also earn you respect.

6. Work every night. Before you log off and go to bed click on the jobs market and find a job to do while your offline. Jobs can be done every 24 hours and take 8 hours to complete so are perfect for when your offline sleeping. Also if you complete 5 days work in a row your government will pay you a big bonus which will vary depending on your home country. In any case the it’s worthwhile doing so that your earning whilst your offline.

5. Always be capturing slaves. You can do this every 20mins so if you have the chance keep attacking and capturing more every 20mins. The more slaves you have the more money you will bring in. This is the easiest way to make money in the game so you should be doing this at every opportunity

4. Be on the lookout for active slaves. It’s all well have inactive slaves that don’t earn much but if you come across a person available for capture who looks like they earn a lot or has a lot of assets then you must block them immediately. Blocking a slave means that no one can attack them for one week. During this week you will earn bonus on everything your slave earns so it’s very important to block slaves that you think could be potential earners.

3. Everyone who plays Anno1777 is different and will take a different path from the next person. For that reason find out what items you use the most. Be it food, wine or clothing and start a company that sells that item. That way your cutting down the cost on you biggest expense.

2. Get involved with the right people. IN Anno is very easy to identify who is doing well and making money from those who are not. Find these people and talk to them, find out what they have been doing to make so much money and try and duplicate it. There are a lot of friendly people in Anno1777 and they are always willing to try and help new players.

Just about everything you do in Anno1777 that can earn you money will earn you a percentage based on what your wellbeing is. The higher your wellbeing the higher you will earn. That’s why it’s so important to ensure you always have your wellbeing at the maximum possible for any given task.
